Hon. Justice Abdi Mohamud Hassan

Hon. Abdi M Hassan, served as Acting Chairperson and Council Member, of the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology between 2023 and 2026. He also served as Council Member, of the University of Nairobi between 2018 and 2023.

Hon. Abdi M Hassan, has had an illustrious legal career with many consequential assignments in both the public and private sectors. He served as Commissioner with the Presidential Power of Mercy Advisory Committee between 2018 and 2023, where he advised His Excellency the President on the exercise of the prerogative of mercy, advising on petitions on clemency, rehabilitation and reintegration of eligible offenders.

He also served as a Commissioner at the Media Complaints Commission, Deputy Director, at the National lands Commission, Board Member, at the Numerical Machining Complex Limited, Lecturer at the Kenya School of Law, Board Member, at the Tourism fund, Managing Partner at M/s Hassan Mutembei & Company Advocates and at M/s Wamalwa Abdi & Company Advocates.
