On 4th March, 2025, the UN General Assembly formally declared the 25th of July as the International Day for Judicial Well-being. This is a landmark achievement in the global promotion of Judicial well-being. It is a recognition of the fact that judicial well-being is not just about individual resilience; it is about safeguarding the independence, integrity, and effectiveness of justice systems. It cannot be gainsaid that judicial well-being has a connection to community well-being.
Social Transformation Through Access to Justice. The Social Transformation through Access to Justice (STAJ) emphasizes wellness and assistance programmes to create an inspired team of Judges, Judicial Officers, and Judiciary staff committed to excellence in the delivery of justice. In line with this commitment, the Judiciary shall commemorate the inaugural International Day for Judicial Well-Being on 25th July 2025. The theme of the day is “Judicial well-being and its impact on community well-being.”
The day is dedicated to promoting the physical, mental, emotional, and institutional wellness of all Judges, Judicial Officers, and Staff.
